nail polish moth gray-Medusa Transducer - charcoal jelly w/ iridescent glitter - GLOWS

Title Medusa Transducer (Full 15ml) Medusa Transducer (Mini 8ml)
Qty:

'Medusa Transducer' won't turn you to stone (well maybe make your nails look like stone... stone that glows, with the fire of Halloween ;)), but it will apply as a charcoal, near black jelly polish with orange-gold-green shifting iridescent glitter, a mix of microshimmers, and will glow teal in the dark once charged.

Base color: near-black, charcoal grey
Finish: jelly w/ glitter
Glows: teal in the dark
Roughness: slightly rough
# coats: three coats (medium, 'blobbed' coats recommended for even glitter coverage)
Top Coat: 1-2 coats highly recommended for super smooth finish; however some top coats MAY block glow in the dark pigment charging (check first)
Staining: does not stain
Size: 15ml
Vegan & cruelty free: yes
3-Free (formaldehyde, toluene, DBP free): yes

***IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT GLOW IN THE DARK POLISH***
Please apply at least two coats of glow in the dark polishes for strongest glow (one coat for medium). Top coat does not affect the glow strength but storing the bottle in the dark is highly recommended (the pigment breaks down when exposed to UV light for a long time, so as with most polishes, store in a cool, dry, safe place).

CHARGING: Glow polishes charge at different wavelengths depending on what colors it glows, all of them charging very, very poorly in light that is far away from the UV spectrum (indoor yellow incandescent lights). The closer they are to wavelengths present in sunshine (UVA light wavelengths, 425-250nm for blue/green/teal) the faster they charge and stronger they glow.

Recommended charging light sources, in order of strongest to weakest:
- black light (UV) light bulbs and laser pointers with blacklight option (2x faster than the other sources)
- natural direct sunlight (not through window)
- indoor compact fluorescent (or similar) lightbulb that has a full spectrum (4000K-6000k range)
- full spectrum lights of all sorts
- incandescent (yellow) lights
- other fluorescent lights
- LEDs (very weak energy)

I recommend only the top THREE sources to charge with (blacklight takes 5-10seconds for full charge) and about a minute to charge it. Five minutes in black light or ten minutes in sunlight or full spectrum compact fluorescent charges the polish *maximally* - polish will then glow very strongly for 10 minutes, strongly for 45 minutes, and then slowly fade to a medium glow for 90min or so. After that point it will be at a low-medium glow for hours.

Color differences:

Green: charges fast, glows very bright, decays fastest after 60min.

Teal: charges medium, glows medium bright, decays slowest, and will be brightest after 60min, longer faint afterglow than green (2-3hours, still glowing faintly).

Blue: charges slowest (2x slower than green), glows medium bright, decays medium, will be as bright as green after 60min, will keep glowing faintly at same rate as teal and maybe a tiny bit longer at a fainter light.

Indigo Bananas brand polishes are handmade from suspension base, thinner & related solvents, pure pigments, effect micas & flakes, and glitter. Polishes are made in batches, with weighed colorants and measured liquids, and batches are compared to previous testers. All finished polish colors have been tested for at least a month, with most having been under development for 3months+. Since this is a handmade product, there's a possibility that there will be slight batch variations, but I do my best to minimize them, both in appearance and performance.

Please shake before use, as the base used tends to 'gel' up, but should thin to a good consistency with a small amount of agitation. Please allow dry time between each coat of polish. Usage of a base coat & top coat is HIGHLY recommended to increase wear of all nail polish. I recommend using 3-Free top coats & base coat - and especially avoiding DBP (dibutyl phthalate, which disrupts hormone function), in all nail polish products.

The easiest way to remove glitter nail polish is to: soak a cotton pad in polish remover (or acetone), place it on your nail, wrap a piece of aluminum foil around your finger, wait 10 minutes, press and slide off the pad in one swipe (look up "glitter foil removal method" on youtube for some great videos). Please wipe cap off after use to prevent build up of polish. Polish can be thinned with nail polish thinner (ethyl/butyl acetate based, not acetone) if it is too thick or thickens up over time, with use.

Do not use near an open flame, while smoking, or while breathing fire or doing similar stunts sometimes seen done by street performers. Not to be used to put out cigarettes. Store in a cool, dark location. Use in a well ventilated area when applying nail polish, and do not use as an inhalant. For external use only.
